Monday to Saturday.  The green letters are the days of the week from Monday to Saturday.  Found in a long forgotten school.

The naughty room.  I am guessing this closet was used as a kind of “solitary confinement” for naughty kids at this long forgotten wooden schoolhouse. A massive 2 story building that was buried deep in the mountains. Note the box of tissues on the desk which were probably there because most kids were screaming and crying by the time they were forced in here.

All shot in one long exposure at an abandoned sports facility.  A bit different from what this tumblr has been showcasing.  I also do a lot of light painting and have co-authored a couple books on the subject. One recently published this April.

A hotel near Kobe that is no longer visited.

A bizarre Buddhism themed roadside tourist attraction on an island off Kobe, Japan that seems to be long forgotten.  A temple facility on the 1st floor turns in a museum on the 2nd and 3rd floor which leads to a restaurant and cafe on the 4th floor to where you will find an elevator to take you up the bowels of a massive Buddha statue to a viewing deck 10 stories up.  See a short video tour here that I made.

Underground ski lift for an artificial ski slope in at a forgotten sports park in Japan. You were able to ski year round if you didn’t mind skiing on plastic.

One of my stranger finds. The actual ski run was pretty much over grown and this was quite a challenge to find.

Long forgotten school tucked away in the mountains of japan. Mother nature has sent out an army of vines in an attempt to reclaim this place making it barely visible even when standing right beside it.

Almost completely reduced to a pile of wood and memories this little room has withstood gravity and Japans mountain weather. The original school collapsed under the weight of winter snow and was 2km from this site. This school collapsed under the weight of time and schooled the children of mine workers.

A fabulous set of stairs at the disused sports centre.

Art supplies piled high at the long forgotten art school.  This old wooden schoolhouse tucked away in a quiet little valley is being consumed by ivy and it won’t be long before nature reclaims her land.
